" It seems evident, that animals, as well as men learn many things from experience, and inferm that the same events will always follow from the same causes.
I think that this is true and that learning things from experience is one of the many things that humans and animals have in common. People say that they have nothing in common with animals but this not true. I think that people do not give animals enough credit because they are actually just as smart as people. They think and communicate with eachother the same way as people. I think Hume's idea is true because an animal learns new things as well as people do. I think that animals have to teach themselves how to survive, interact with one another and how to react to certain things. Animals need to be able to be in touch with their surroundings and know how to adapt to their environment at any time. Animals learn things the same way as humans and perceive things different from one another the same way people do.

i agree with the fact that humans as well as animals learn from experience but i disagree when you said that animals are jsut as smart as humans are. they may be able to communicate with each other but they are not as smart as humans. there have some advantages that we have over animals as well as animals have some advantages over us. its like descartes said, animals are the way they are because its in their nature, but they are not to be compared with humans.
once animals have past experieces as well as humans, they are able to use those experiences to follow the same upcoming events.
Everything is on a different context and people live in a different world than animals do but we just dont know it. We believe to be the superior beings considering we understand everything about our fury creatures but unfortunately we wont every really know what an animal may be thinking and wether or not that animal is thinking more or less logically than another animal of its kind. What Im saying is that we do learn from experience as do animals but do we really know which animal is learning the most that will benefit itself more than the animal next to it and do animals develop good or bad tendencies as do humans. On a level of comparison how can we understand which animal is smarter than the other as we as humans do.
I agree that people and animals learn from experience. People especially learn from experience. That is why we teach history in schools. So we do not make the same mistakes again and that way everyone is aware of the mistakes.
